06 Jul 09 Wu Zhenglong and Li Shikui Met with Xu Guanfu
On June 10th, 2009, Mr Wu Zhenglong, member of the standing committee of Chongqing, and Li Shikui, head of Wangzhou district, had an interview with managing director Xu Guangfu of Daqo Group. The two sides conducted an in-depth exchange to further promote the industrial development of Wanzhou polysilicon industry.
Wu Zhenglong and Li Shikui learned at length about the first phase of polysilicon production of Daqo Group. They spoke highly of Daqo Group, because since polysilicon was put into production, it has made outstanding contributions to the development of industry and economy of Wanzhou. The first phase of expansion now has been completed, and with the successfully commissioning of equipment, it will be fully operational. All the achievements can fully reflect the pioneering spirit of Daqo Group. The rapid development of enterprises was pleased.
Wu Zhenglong and Li Shikui said that Polysilicon construction project of Daqo Group is one of the key projects encouraged by central government. This project is at the leading level in terms of size, quality, environmental protection, in line with the requirements of the scientific development, and it plays an important role of promoting the economic and social development of Three Gorges reservoir area in Wanzhou District. The District government will fully support the Daqo Group in Wanzhou with the aim of developing the new material and new energy, promoting steadily the plan of “50 billion yuan of Wanzhou”.
Xu Guangfu showed his appreciation for the support of Wanzhou District, and stressed that they will continue to increase investment in the second phase of polysilicon production, so that they can make contribution to the economic and social development of Wanzhou.
District Standing Committee, the Secretary-General Pu Binbin, and Deputy Governor of the Central Government Liu Zhong were present at the meeting.
